Graduation Requirements

There are two conditions needing to be met in order for your child to graduate from high school:
  1. Satisfaction of all academic requirements 
  2. A passing score on a qualified state assessment.
Academic Requirements

Social Studies:

     Including:

     Modern World History / Geography,

     US History I, US History II

Mathematics

     Including:

     Algebra I & Geometry + Third year

     that builds on the concepts and skills

     of Algebra and Geometry

World Language

Science

     Including:

     Bio + 2 Other LAB Science Courses

Visual or Performing Arts

Financial Literacy

Career Education and

Consumer, Family, and Life Skills

Or

Vocational - Technical Education

Electives (as needed)

Additional Notes: 
  • Although students only need to pass one of the above assessments to meet their graduation requirement, passing one of the assessment does not exempt them to take the appropriate PARCC exam according to the courses they take each year
  • Special education students will continue to follow the graduation requirements set forth in their IEP’s
  • Students who do not meet the threshold scores for PARCC or any other assessment may submit a portfolio appeal
